$2.3 Million Bid for Star's Charger on e-Bay
Filed in archive Muscle Cars by Philip Powell on May 2, 2007

Rats! Here I am again, forced to admit that I've missed another movie in which cars played a major role. Still, I'm sure many of you saw the Dukes of Hazzard so it's my shamefaced duty to draw your attention to the sale of what Autoblog calls "easily one of the most valuable star cars in recent memory." The seller, Bo Duke, aka John Schneider, is auctioning his personal "General Lee" Dodge Charger
R/T from "Dukes Go To Hollywood". Our movie-going friends at Autoblog claim that was the last real Dukes of Hazzard movie, and who am I to argue? John Schneider calls his Charger "The most famous model of the most famous car in the world!" which is pushing it a bit, but what the heck, if you're the seller a little exaggeration is to be expected. The underside of the the hood is autographed by all of the surviving orginal cast members and crew, and that certainly makes it special. But $2.3 Million for a Charger? I've got to start seeing more movies.[Photo: johnsebiz]
