50-Year-Old Plymouth to be Exhumed, But Will it Shine?

In 2007 a gold-and-white 2-door 1957 Plymouth belvedere
hardtop will rise from the grave and be presented to the person (or their heirs), who most accurately predicted, back in '57, the population of Tulsa, Oklahoma half a century later. The Plymouth was buried in a time capsule to celebrate Oklahoma's centennial, along with other artifacts that represented American lifestyle in the middle of the 20th century. Before being buried in a concrete and steel box the car was covered in cosmolene, a metal preservative, then wrapped in plastic. But no one knows for sure whether the concrete time capsule cracked over the years, letting moisture inside, in which case the Plymouth would be little more than scrap. Being an optimist, I'm betting it will come out good as new, a slap on the wrist by Walter P. Chrysler on the DaimlerChrysler execs who killed the brand. May it come back to haunt you, gentlemen.
