Quite by accident I came upon a monthly newsletter "written by connoisseurs for connoisseurs." Cars for the Connoisseur appears to be a high-quality publication judging by the contributor's names, some of whom I recognised. The content is unique, the photography of the best as this title page clearly shows. Unfortunately Cars for the Connoisseur is not a Web-based publication. It is available by subscription only and is published monthly at a "special, introductory annual rate of: £48 UK, £69 Air Mail Europe, £89 Air Mail Rest of the World, £59 Surface Mail Whole of the World." Well, I suppose if you're a wealthy car connoisseur that's not even pocket change. But translated to Canadian bucks, even American bucks, it's a bit pricey for the average classic car enthusiast. Still, you get what you pay for and if you can afford the entry fee this looks like a good read.

I just wish it could be read, at least in part, on the Internet. Another favorite, Collectible Automobile, also lacks a Web presence. These folks are missing an opportunity to expand their audience.
