A Peek at the Fabulous Audi Tradition Building

Silver Arrows

My hat is off to any automaker that collects, restores, displays, and even loans out its historic models. Audi is just such a company, eager to remind us of its rich heritage. Located near corporate headquarters in Ingolstadt is Audi tradition, a warehouse where the firm's collection of over 300 cars is kept and maintained. It's not a museum and not open to the public for this is a working facility, but if you know someone, a visit can sometimes be arranged. Audi enthusiast George Achorn, who produces Fourtitude.com, definitely "knew someone" and was able to spend the better part of a day with a knowledgeable guide. The above shot of two Auto Union Silver Arrows being worked on is an example of why it's worth a few minutes of your time to read George's article and peruse the photos.
