Porsche

This, you may well assume, is no ordinary porsche 914. The 914/6 seen here, and coming up for auction, is one of just 3360 6-cylinder 914s the Porsche factory manufactured between 1970 and 1972. Indeed, it even stands apart among that glorious few, having been pepared by the French distributor Sonauto for racing and rallying during the early 1970's. Sonauto was famous for its 1970 LeMans class-winning 914/6 which surprised everyone by finishing 6th overall in the 24-hour endurance race. This car was produced by the same team and will be auctioned by Coys at Blenheim, UK, on Saturday, June 24th. The sale is entitled "Fine Cars & Jaguar Legends" and includes a number of rare and exquisite Jags. As ClassicDriver.com said in its introduction to the Coys' 914/6, it would be "a nice entry for some continental fast tours like the Tour Auto or Tour d'Espana."
