Automobile Art Auction Goes Online

Here's an opportunity to purchase automobile art and automobilia at a price you'd like to pay. It's an online auction
by l'art et l'automobile and like all auctions, lets the buyer acquire a desirable object because of its rarity or because low bidding offers an irresistible bargain. Personally, I'm a big fan of automobile and transportation art and there's plenty of both to choose from, some contemporary, some dating back to the early 1900's. In fact, I enjoyed the site so much that it was fun just scrolling through; like wandering around an art gallery. But I'd be doing it a disservice if I suggested this sale is all about art. You'll find, among other things, books, sales literature, programs, magazines, phonograph records, badges, hubcaps, helmets, mascots, models, posters, photographs, prints, and as already mentioned, some fabulous paintings and even art hand-painted on tiles. I had a difficult time deciding which item to display here but finally chose a 1905 French painting by Guy, showing a woman in white in discussion with a motorist friend. The period costumes, the car, and even the framing make it worthy of space on your wall. If you agree, the starting bid on this original is $3500. Have fun!Permalink: Automobile Art Auction Goes Online
