Autos and Argentina Combine for Magical Tour

If vacation tours are fun, they're even more fun when built around the interests of classic car enthusiasts. That's why I have no hesitation in bringing to your attention a 10-day "Car Guy Tour" of Argentina. The itinerary starts in Buenos Aires and includes several days in and around the city. To quote organiser Frank Mandarano, "we'll visit several fantastic automotive classic restoration and reproduction companies and then we'll head off to Parana – the Modena of Argentina. I've been there and can assure you that you'll be blown away!" He goes on to explain some of the highlights: "We'll do a little Tango dancing, take in the incredible street fairs, visit the Antique Market district; as well as other great sites of interest in BA. Polo is very big in Argentina so we will be attending the playoffs. We've also been invited to the British Embassy Gala of the year. November is springtime, so the climate will be warm – expect mid to high 70s. And due to the strength of the dollar, it's an excellent buying and lifestyle opportunity." Well, folks, this humble writer can't afford such a trip this year but perhaps you can, for the price is a reasonable $3950 single – $6800 double (two people sharing a room), airfare not included. From what I've heard and read, Argentina is an auto lovers paradise. After all, this where the great Juan Manuel Fangio honed his racing talents! To join the tour, click here.
