Oh, what I wouldn't give to be the owner of this "new" BMW 2002, just completed at BMW's Glass Workshop in Munich. I bought one of the first 2002's imported to Manhattan, took it with me when transferred to London, sold it to cover costs in a foolish attempt at soundproofing an old church when some of the era's hottest rock groups were seeking rehearsal space. BMW's master mechanic Arthur Herrmann and Klaus Kutscher, head of the workshop, have built a "2006" BMW 2002, starting with an original bodyshell from the 1970s, using newly-manufactured Mobile Tradition parts.
