Can prescription drugs affect driving?

Can prescription drugs affect driving?

Are you on prescription drugs? If yes, then consult your doctor before hitting the road. Some of the side effects of popping prescription drugs are dizziness, drowsiness, decrease in heart rate and confusion.

A number of road related deaths are caused as a result of driving after having drugs and therefore one must either avoid driving after consuming pills or if its really necessary then ask someone to drive you around. In order to prevent accidents, many countries have framed strict laws to deal with it in the form of heavy penalties and prison terms.

Though prescription drugs can be helpful in curing several illnesses but one needs to be careful while consuming it and then taking the wheels. More than 30% road related deaths are caused as a result of drug overdose therefore if somebody is on prescription drugs one should not overdo it as it can not only be dangerous for you but also for other people on the road.
