Carbs Rule but Vintage Motorsport Magazine Goes Electronic
Filed in archive Media Sites by Philip Powell on May 1, 2007

Online car magazines are growing in popularity while print periodicals lose vital circulation numbers. Savvy publishers cover themselves by offering both and among the latest to go electronic is Vintage Motorsport Magazine. The award-winning publication is an exact duplicate of the paper version but it is not free (nor should it be) although it's difficult to persuade a public accustomed to viewing the Web as a no-cost resource that it should lay out a few bucks for the privilege of reading online. And let's face it, turning pages with a cursor can't compare with the sensuous feel of traditional magazine pages nor can a screen image match the richness of a transparency printed on coated paper. Having said that, I have no hesitation in recommending the online edition to anyone already involved in vintage
racing and equally to those folks who may be curious about the sport but have yet to venture trackside. You'll be relieved to know this online edition is free on a trial basis so give it a try, then decide whether to sign up. Hey... what else can you get for $25.00 these days?Permalink: Carbs Rule but Vintage Motorsport Magazine Goes Electronic
