Our man Nigel Matthews (well, he isn't exactly ours, just a good friend and contributor, but I like to make it sound as if I actually have a staff) has recently been testing some new "Lotus" and "Bentley" cars in exotic places. (What do you mean, Las Vegas isn't exotic?) Nigel is normally involved in the classic car community as a concours judge and value estimator, however he does get the opportunity to test drive some very fast and beautiful cars, most recently the Audi A10, Bugatti Veyron, and the new Bentley Continental Speed GT. That's him, a guest of Lotus UK, thrashing around the Parumph private track outside Las Vegas in a new Lotus 2-Eleven. His hosts put Nigel up in the "Paris Hotel", upgrading him, appropriately, to the LeMans Suite. The Bentley, by the way, delivers 602 horsepower and if I owned one, I wouldn't be staying in the paris hotel. I'd be staying in a hotel in Paris, en route to the Riviera.
