Though I've seen few such cars in person I've always admired France's Delahaye for its beautiful bodies. Award-winning artist Michael Furman obviously feels the same. Delahaye Styling and Design, a book by Richard Adatto and Diane Meredith, features original photography by the award-winning artist. Good news, except that only a few copies remain before the final run is complete. Each will be signed by Michael Furman, who will personalize the inscription if you contact him after ordering the book. In addition, every order will come with a signed and numbered 9" x 12" print called "1948 Delahaye 135MS by Chapron (Barn Find), Louvers," limited to 200 copies. Hemmings Sports & Exotic Car says "Featuring original styling drawings, black and white images, and the gorgeous studio photography of Michael Furman, this 312-page hardcover is worth the high price of admission." It is not, however, for those whose bank balances are teetering on the brink of depression. But take hope, fellow sufferers: the book and print together, a $300 value, are offered to Sports Car Magazine subscribers for just $175. This special expires at midnight, Monday, June 8: "earlier if supplies run out."
