The gorgeous Auburn artwork above highlights the event poster for the World Premier 2007 Vegas Concours d'Elegance which is held (by intent or co-incidence?) in the same week as the sema show. That's when a huge mass of enthusiast retailers arrives to see a huge mass of aftermarket parts along with masses of hype by the auto manufacturers. The Concours takes place on October 26, 27, and 28, beginning with a Spirit of the Concours Denim & Diamonds Gourmet Gala on Friday, followed by the Kick Off Reception and Traditional Countryside Tour & Luncheon on Saturday and the Concours on Sunday. I've never been a Vegas supporter, in part because I dislike gambling, but with events like this, the 2008 Barrett-Jackson auction and the possibility of a future F1 street race, I could be persuaded otherwise.
