Having shown you an historic Bentley at auction in the previous blog, a future Bentley collectible would hardly be out of place. Indeed, this gorgeous automobile will someday be worth a small fortune. No... make that a "large" fortune as you'll need a Queen's Ransom just to purchase one in 2006. You're looking at the new Bentley Convertible, photographed by friend Nigel Matthew at a brief Vancouver unveiling on June 28. It's the very car that appeared at the New York show in April and is now traveling around the world for presentation to dealers. Vancouver's launch party finished at 7:00 PM, and by 9:00 PM the convertible was on its way to the next presentation in Scottsdale. MSRP $261,000 and as Nigel suggested, add a few goodies and you will be at $279,000 Canadian, a few bucks less in the USA. The earliest possible delivery would be April 2007. Just in time to drive from London to Monaco for the GP.
