It goes without saying that any Ferrari in top condition is going to attract big money at auction. But when an automobile has been owned by a person of distinction bids usually go higher, which may well be the case with this 1971 Ferrari GTB4 Spyder. It was delivered new to Roger Penske's Chevrolet Dealership and leased to a New York businessman. However the next, and long-time owner-driver, was Edsel Ford II. Like his father, who helped style some of the company's most attractive classics, Edsel II obviously had great taste in cars. One of 22 examples painted in Fly Yellow, the Spyder will go on the block at "RM's "Leggende e Passione" auction" on May 20th, at the Ferrari Factory in Maranello, Italy. No estimate has been announced publicly but it will obviously be substantial. Thanks to "Sports Car Market magazine" for this lead.
