You won't find any calendars hanging in my little condo. It's not that I don't like them, especially when the photos consist of classic cars, planes, trains, etc. In fact I've kept a few calendars from the past so that I can revisit the photography. But the overall look, especially when imprinted with advertising, just doesn't go with my home deco, which I call "uncluttered contemporary." All that could change with this fabulous limited edition calendar from Classiche-Sportive, featuring the work of photographer Alexander Kuhlmann, entitled Impressioni di Bugatti Classiche and produced with the support of the Bugatti Club Italia. Like the Bugatti sports and race cars with their handmade approach to construction, this is no ordinary calendar. Four specially manufactured Bugatti Type 35 butterfly screws attach it to a wooden board, while the individual pages can be enjoyed without those annoying months and days showing, simply by using a special mount that comes with each calendar. The paper is of the highest quality and the printing superb. Ergo, a calendar that needn't be confined to your den or garage. Only 400 are being printed and at $117 US each, they're more costly than the pretty theme calendars available from your book store. (A wonderful Christmas, gift, however.) You can see the calendar, month by month, by clicking on the Classiche-Sportive link and believe me, it's worth it, even for a look at the photo on the handsome home page.
