Strolling along Toronto’s fashionable Yorkville Street the other day I spotted a model car shop that looked promising. Prestige Auto Art & Gift Gallery turned out to be just as interesting as I’d hoped, and with its new addition offers an extensive selection of 1:43 and 1:18 models. Most of the stock appeared to be from contemporary periods, with emphasis on sports and GT’s, although there were some classics on view. F1 and ChampCar fans will find plenty to choose from in this shop. I noted a few trains and boats on the shelves and when I asked proprietor Joe Russo about this he explained that the shop is expanding its market. Smart move inasmuch as many car fans enjoy other forms of historic transport. Joe also carries gift items from Porsche Design, Ducati, and indeed a remarkable variety of collectibles including watches, art, and functional items made from car parts. Prestige Auto Art & Gift Gallery ships to collectors world-wide so regardless of where you live it can be a valuable resource, especially with Christmas coming up. Unfortunately the Web site has no facility for online ordering and with the exception of Porsche Design has no clickable previews. You’ll have to call or fax the store (numbers are on the site) for info.

I’m looking for a diecast of a 1976 or 1977 cutlass supreme or salon with bucket seats?
