Sometimes you really have to view a car in the metal to appreciate its true style and personality. I've seen Tuckers before but only in museums or on crowded auction floors. At the Palm Springs Desert Classic, a Tucker was displayed on the lawns of a golf course, with enough space that one could stand back and admire it properly. And I can honestly say that I was overwhelmed with the car's beauty, apparent strength, and obviously advanced design. It's almost enough to make a grown man cry, because if this vehicle had achieved its intended mass production stage, it would have made every other car instantly old-fashioned. The changes to the auto industry might have been dramatic, with great benefit to consumers. What a shame that politics, poor planning, and false charges by a media muckraker conspired to destroy the Tucker before it had a chance to prove itself.
I’ve always loved classic/vintage cars… They were more reliable and sturdy in my opinion… and more beautiful! That Trucker you posted is nice, I love it. I wonder if older cars can be converted into hybrids or something fuel efficient & environment friendly?
