Just when you think the Scottsdale auction week has become saturated with events, along comes another auctioneer with even more collector cars. But wait! "Gooding & Company" is "not just another auctioneer." This highly reputable firm, led by classics evaluation expert Charles Gooding, specialises in the rare and the unique, particularly European sports cars and American classics. "Gooding & Company" will be joining "Barrett-Jackson", "RM Auctions", "Russo and Steele", "Silver Auctions" and "Kruse International" in what has become the World Cup of classic and collector car auctions, with a sale on Saturday, January 19th (previews during the previous two days). Conveniently located next to the Scottsdale Fashion Mall, this new addition could be the one to watch. The elegant Rolls-Royce 1933 Phantom II Continental Sports Saloon above is your assurance that I'll be there to report on the bidding.

Damn, that is a beautiful picture of a beautiful car, or should I say automobile. Being both a car and camera nut, I would love to know more about the photograph. Any details, Philip?
