Great Classic Cars Site, Awful Art Direction
Filed in archive Media Sites by Philip Powell on May 13, 2007

Sorry folks, but this has got to be one of the ugliest home pages I've ever seen. Okay, I'm not here to criticise the designers (though they should go back to art school). My wish is to refer you to a site that's jammed-full of useful information for classic car enthusiasts, best known as Ted's Garage. The site includes rumours about Barrett-Jackson's move to Las Vegas; classic car forums; news feeds, museums; cars for sale; where to find parts... and as the cliché goes, much, much, more. Indeed, ClassicCar.com has it all. One particularly interesting feature is "ask the experts," where experts in fields such as products, services, and technical stuff offer advice, free. Believe me, I've yet to see a classic car site
with so much to offer. If only the art direction matched the content.Permalink: Great Classic Cars Site, Awful Art Direction
