It wasn't very pretty and it didn't make waves as a popular compact, but give the Henry J credit for being a few decades ahead of itself. This stepchild of the Kaiser Fraser group was created to extend the new manufacturer's reach into the postwar market. With its subtle finned fenders and streamlined roofline the Henry J aligned well with the times but the American public just wasn't ready. You, however, can own one in 1:18 scale from the Fairfield Mint for a mere $79.99. The Mint says it has over 160 parts, a fully- wired battery and an 80 hp straight-six engine with spare tire, plus lug wrench and jack. You won't see many Henry J's in collector car shows but as a symbol of what one manufacturer envisioned as the future, it might be nice to have one on your bookshelf.
