"Coffee and cars in the morning" was the subject of a recent blog about car guys meeting on Saturdays in California and Nevada. I complained that no such thing would happen in Sidney, BC, where I live. Turns out I was wrong. Or at least, slightly incorrect, for I've been informed that something similar happens every Saturday night at Francelli's Coffee House in the Royal Oak Plaza (only 20 km down the highway from here). Mostly, I'm informed, 50's and 60's American cars and hot rods with a few British cars included. The latter could entice me to attend because I'm a Brit-car fan, for it was UK immigrants to Toronto that first got me interested in road racing and rallying. I still fancy the idea of morning coffees at Sidney but until that happens I encourage my BC and Washington neighbours to visit Francelli's in this handsome Victoria BC, suburb.
