Mamma Mia! Detroit Goes Italian

Alfa Romeo

It's to be expected that Detroit will have more than its share of automotive events throughout the year and in summer things get hotted up as the classics go on show. Italian car fans will get a special treat in 2007 with two major events in eight days. From July 27-29 Fiat Lancia Unlimited in Detroit, or FLUID, holds its annual Freak Out which will attract the largest gathering of Fiats and Lancias in North America. Lots of good times planned, including a concours, an autocross, a co-ordinated drive and the usual car fan socializing. The Freak Out will honor 50 years of the Fiat Nuova 500.

Then on August 1st through to the 5th, the Alfa Romeo Owners Club rolls in for Motor City Alfa 2007, its national convention. A concours, time trials, Lake Huron tours and special displays of the Montreal and GTA models will be featured. On Sunday August 5th many Alfa owners will move over to the Meadow Brook Concours d'Elegance, Alfa being the featured marque this year.
