This town where I now live – Sidney on Vancouver Island, BC – is becoming a prime destination for all sorts of car club tours in the Pacific northwest. I shouldn’t be surprised. Four years after abandoning big city life for a quieter existence I’ve watched the town experience remarkable growth, until its sophistication is finally beginning to match the gorgeous scenery. This past weekend a group of MG enthusiasts gathered from Washington, Oregon, and British Columbia for a group run to Tofino on the spectacular west coast of the Island, and I was fortunate to meet some of the owners and grab a few early morning shots. The weather was dreary (though it turned sunny after the tour left!) so my photos don’t do justice to the cars, but this friendly wave from the lone MGA entrant cheered us up.
