Model A Traffic Jam Heading For Michigan

Imagine, if you will, 1000 restored and running Model A Fords
in the same place at the same time. It sort of boggles the old imagination, doesn't it? But that is the number of "A's" expected for what is surely the largest one-make club gathering anywhere in the world, June 29th at the Gilmore Car Museum near Kalamazoo, Michigan. The event is sponsored by the Grand A Region - Model A Restorers Club, described by historian Mike Davis as "virtually the granddaddy of ordinary-car collector clubs." Gilmore is situated in an area populated by a vast number of car enthusiasts, which accounts in part for the popularity of the meet. Speculation is that some of those Model A's will come from abroad, as well. They won't be much nicer than this 1928 Tudor, photographed by Richard Smith in Vancouver, BC.Permalink: Model A Traffic Jam Heading For Michigan
