Automotive Art
by Philip Powell on July 6, 2006
My friends often comment on the neatness of my little 1-bedroom condo and wonder how I keep it clear of paper and other paraphenalia. Like many dedicated Web-ites I insist that electronic files eliminate the clutter. True enough, but in my desire to sweep the place clear of anything that isn't immediately pertinent I sometimes get careless. Stuff I should have kept ends up in the recycle bin. A prime example is a collection of automotive artist's brochures gathered during the January Scottsdale auctions with the intent of promoting their work. Gone. That saddens me because it is my plan to bring to the attention of classic car enthusiasts some of the outstanding art that can be purchased online. Luckily the search engines came to my rescue on first try, with the exquisite art of Roger Hector featuring a Bugatti Type 35 race car in street form. This superb print can be purchased from Legacy Motors Automotive Art Gallery for $290. Meanwhile I promise to throw nothing away that can't be matched with the "delete" button.
