Automotive Art
, British Cars
by Philip Powell on May 14, 2008

Nothing pleases me more than promoting the works of automobile fine artists, especially when an artist has created something truly original. This is one of a new limited edition series by Paul Chenard that captures the essence of an era when race cars were painted in national colors, as defined by the FIA. It's also reminiscent of a time when the engines themselves were a work of art. One of four makes featured in the Grand Prix Engine Series, the car shown here is a Vanwall 2.5, a British Grand Prix competitor with an interesting history of its own. Very reasonably priced at $100 CDN, it comes as a premium archival giclee print, signed and numbered to a limit of 125. Or you can have all four for $325 CDN. Shipping/handling is extra. See the complete series at Paul's Web site, or learn more at his blogsite.
