Nostalgic Ferrari Moment Captured by Artist Ken Eberts

It would be difficult to shower additional praise on the work of Ken Eberts, automobile artist extraordinaire, but you can't blame the folks at CarArt for trying; after all, they sell Ebert's paintings and prints from their Website. Herewith a few quotes: "In a year marking the 1/4 centenary of the Automotive Fine Artists Society it's time to highlight their genial, influential leader, one of the most prolific and award-winning car artists in the world: Ken Eberts is a founder of the AFAS and has been its President since its inception in 1983. Few would disagree that 'Mr. AFAS' has done more to advance the genre of car art than anyone else in the past 25 years. A former car designer, Ken has portrayed a greater history of cars than any other artist. He was chosen by Ford to commemorate their centennial in 2003, an honor last given to Norman Rockwell for the 50th anniversary. Over 1,200 of his original paintings are in public and private collections worldwide. Prints and posters are displayed in thousands of enthusiasts' homes and offices."
You can view the latest additions in the Ken Eberts Gallery and a short movie of him at Pebble Beach. Meanwhile I've selected his painting of a Ferrari Superfast parked in a street in Paris (or Switzerland?). Though I can't pretend to have witnessed this exact scene I did enjoy similar moments during my time working in Europe. The price of nostalgia? A Giclée on watercolor paper, size 30" x 40" in an edition of 50, is $600. If I win the lottery I'll commission Ken to paint my left-hand-drive BMW 2002 on London's Kings Row in 1970. Coals to Newcastle it may have been but the 2002 was a crowd-stopper.
