They cruised into Sidney-by-the-Sea on Saturday, May 09. They were members of vintage car clubs located all over Vancouver Island, plus a few welcome visitors from the nearby State of Washington. With over 200 cars on show, they constituted the largest group to appear in our town and I sincerely hope they'll be back next year. I wandered around the cars with my trusty Nikon D50, struggling to find clear shots unimpeded by spectators which, of course, is nigh-impossible in these conditions. A perfect blue sky day was ideal for car owners, though. For this blogger it was pleasant to be strolling past row-upon-row of wonderful old cars, mostly of Detroit origin although a few British imports were on hand to provide variety. A really big show? Not at all, just a reminder that amid the glamour of international concours and auctions, local events can still be appreciated at little or no cost.

Did anybody notice the near symetry between the Packard and your title car?
Whatever happened to two-tone cars?
