Why is it that we sometimes need visitors from other places to help us appreciate the beauty of our own domain? I'm especially guilty as I live in what is arguably the loveliest part of a spectacular country (Canada, Sidney, BC, on Vancouver Island) yet often dream of being elsewhere.
"Elsewhere" is exactly where I found myself in 2001. To be precise, visiting the Petersen Museum in Los Angeles, where I was treated to a special presentation of auto art by Britain's CAR ART, probably the world's most complete repository of automotive fine art. Until recent years not a Corvette fan I was captivated by Nicole Wood's image of a 1966 Corvette next to an ocean beach in Australia. A giclée print on watercolor paper can be yours for only $300.00.
