I've just received an invitation to meet baseball legend Reggie Jackson in Monterey on August 16th. Sorry, folks, but I won't be there. Though certainly aware of Jackson's well-deserved fame, I'm not enough of a ball fan to make the trip. I prefer speed with my sport, which explains my enthusiasm for F1. However, I am impressed with Reggie Jackson's car collection, part of which is to be auctioned by Russo and Steele during the Monterey Classics week. Apparently he prefers muscle cars, if the information supplied to the press is any indication, and those to be sold include some rare and powerful machines. Reggie explains his reason for selling thusly: "Don't laugh, I'm trying to get my collection down to 50 cars!" You can see some of the cars, along with his descriptions, by clicking here.
