The good folks at RM Auctions seem to be in expansion mode, having recently moved into Europe and now with a new auction to be held at hershey Lodge on October 12 during the annual Hershey collector car swap meet. This inaugural auction will feature 60 cars from the estate of Helen Swigart, offered without reserve, along with a select group of other rare automobiles. Among the Swigart vehicles are a 1903 Stanley Brothers Model B Steamer Dos-a-Dos; a 1906 Ford Model R Bee-Tail Roadster; an untouched, all original 1910 Ford Model T Depot Wagon; a 1914 International Model K High-Wheeler Motor Surrey; a 1937 Chrysler Airflow Imperial 8 long-wheelbase Sedan; a 1948 Crosley HotShot wagon; and our photo car, a magnificent 1931 DuPont Le Mans Speedster Phaeton. With over 100,000 enthusiasts on hand, the auction should be well attended. RM, by the way, is currently seeking additional consignments; you can reach them at 800-211-4371.

Is it just me, or were a lot of those final auction prices a little low? I'm trying to price out a few cars for a friend by finding similar examples, but I'm surprised by the numbers I'm seeing here. Was the weather bad or something?
