So Many Ferraris I Stopped Counting

You've seen a Ferrari. Everyone has seen a Ferrari. A lucky few have witnessed, say, three or four Ferraris in the same place at the same time. So how would you like to see and admire more than 75 Ferraris of various vintages, gathered on the vast acres of a golf course set high above a distant Pacific Ocean vista? Such was my privilege during the 2006 Concorso Italiano in Monterey, a celebration of Italian cars and lifestyle that simply must be seen to be believed. The show is not just about Ferraris, of course; there were at least three dozen new and vintage Lamborghinis, a host of classic Maseratis lined up next to the latest models, and a vast array of collectible Alfa Romeos, Lancias, Fiats and Abarths plus a special corral
of German, British and American makes. This was my first visit to Concorso and I was literally staggered by the size and variety of the display. Indeed, halfway through the day I staggered back to my motel (hereafter known as the Worst Western... but that's a whole other story) to download the photos and create some fresh blogs.Permalink: So Many Ferraris I Stopped Counting
