So What Does a Ferrari F1 Star Drive on the Street?

Felipe's Fiat

Felipe Massa, one of the fastest drivers in the world, races for Ferrari's F1 team. He's paid millions and can buy any car he wants. How nice, then, to see Felipe with a new Fiat 500 as his primary set of street wheels. Of course this is not your ordinary, everyday 500. It's a Sport variant with a Skydome electric sunroof and a 1.4 16v engine modified to 120 hp by Fiat Powertrain Racing, the division responsible for competition engines, performance kits, and special engines for limited edition models. Not surprisingly, it has been personalised with unique graphic details, such as Felipe's signature embossed in the sill scuff plate. The 500 is Fiat's answer to the Mini, its design based on a loveable, even smaller, and hugely popular Fiat of the 1950's. It has already been named as European Car of the Year and based on the success of BMW's Mini plus the just-arriving Smart, would be an ideal antidote to the high-priced fuel and crowded city roads of North America. Besides, it's great fun to drive. C'mon back, Fiat, we need you!
