Test Drive! Contest Offers Free Automotive Art to Most Deserving Rooms

Art Enhances Room

It has to be the most unusual art collector contest ever held, at least among automotive art aficionados. Contestants submit photos of a room in their home that could benefit from the hanging of an automotive art print, either where there wasn't one or where one exists that could be replaced. The judges choose the two rooms they feel are best suited to a high quality work, and the winners get the prints, free.

The Test Drive! contest is sponsored by Legacy Motors, an Internet seller of automotive collectibles, including diecast models and automotive art. The artists whose works are in their online gallery represent a "who's who" of automotive fine art, including Ken Eberts, Tom Hale, Britain's Nicola Wood (whose painting of a Delahaye in the desert appears below), Roger Hector, Bill Motta and other equally renowned names.

The contestant chooses the print, Legacy photoshops it into the photograph of his or her room, then the judges select the winners based on which room is most improved. The two winners receive their chosen print. As an added bonus, entrants who don't win get 20% off their desired print if they choose to buy it. Which sounds like a win/win solution to me.

The prints will be worth up to $400. It costs nothing to enter, nothing to buy, no trick questions. Legacy Motors merely wants to make more people aware of the impressive works available in its online automotive art gallery. Simply click on this link, follow the instructions and with luck, you'll soon have a superb automotive art print hanging on your wall.
