You drive a Ford. Congratulations. Which of the above logos adorns the hood? In my case it's the most recent example as I've just purchased a 2003 Ford Focus ZX5 from a friend, with a mere 58,000 km (less than 36,000 miles) on the Odometer. As Ford was always a family-dominated affair we shouldn't be surprised that the logo has infrequently been updated... it has, however, been redesigned just enough to remain contemporary. Automobile logos have a fascinating history and many are works of art. Many a Jaguar owner, including me a few years ago, awoke to find hood ornaments gone, badges ripped off. If I had my way the thieves would be placed in public stockades where we could toss rotten fruit at their faces.

The script doesn't seem to have changed since 1912. Does anybody know who actually wrote FORD. Was it Henry I?
I wrote a term paper on Henry Ford once, but it has been many, many years and I don't remember much.
