Model Cars
by Philip Powell on April 9, 2006
There are model cars, and then there are hand-crafted, special-order models created by artisans who specialise in "one-of-a-kind" custom jobs. Gordon Collectibles is unique in that the company builds from wood, in any desired scale, with the average model about 18 inches in length. Although the Indianapolis firm specialises in classic trucks it displays an equal passion for cars, trains and planes. With over thirty years of designing and building, George Gordon is a skilled craftsman with an eye for detail. He's modelled everything from Diamond T pickups, to Divco milk trucks, to chain-drive coal haulers, to West Coast-style Peterbilt tractors. I'd order a log-hauler such as we have in BC's forest industry. Softwood lumber dispute notwithstanding.
