Japanese Oldies

Okay, it'll never be a classic but the Toyota Crown is a vintage car of interest as it was the first Toyota to be marketed in North America, albeit only briefly. And though you might be hard pressed to spot one at an old car show I can assure you that crowns still exist in many parts of the world, lovingly cared for by their owners. The Toyota Crown played a minor but novel role in my own life, which I wrote about in the About Classic Cars site. I was formerly the site Guide for About (and still write new car reviews for About Cars) and since no one considered capable of producing About Classic Cars to the same standard has applied for the job, everything I created during a two-year period is still live. Including the story of the Toyota Crown. So while it's still on the Web you might want to amuse yourself with a little Toyota history by clicking here.
