Because I can't read Portuguese, I'm unable to add any details to this blog but thought you'd like to see it regardless. Friend and contributor Nigel Matthews directed me to it from a forum devoted to the car scene in Portugal. Apparently 108 vintage cars were found in a building that had been welded shut for many years. The vehicles appear to be remarkably eclectic in choice, ranging from everyday economy cars to rare European sports models, a few Detroit products, and even some race cars from "junior" formulas. Judging by the forum photos they're all from the 50's and 60's. No idea what shape they're in as most were covered with dust but these Alfa-Romeos should whet your appetite. Who owned this collection? Why did he weld the doors shut? Where is he now?
